KCF Academy Students Shine at European Youth Championships
The Kasparov Chess Foundation Academy is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at the recent European Youth Chess Championships.
A special congratulations goes out to French International Master Marco Materia, who claimed the title in the Under-16 category at the European Youth Championship. His dedication and skill have truly paid off with this remarkable victory.
Another standout KCFA participant, Vaclav Finek, who participated in Vienna KCF preparation camp, triumphed in the Under-14 category, becoming the European Youth Champion. His success highlights the exceptional level of talent nurtured within our academy.
Croatian rising stars Erik Golobuvic and Lara Zagorac shined at the European Youth Rapid and Blitz Championship. Lara became the European Rapid Champion and also claimed a silver medal in the Blitz Championship in the G14 category. Erik performed brilliantly in the rapid event, earning the title of vice champion in the U12 category.
Additionally, Peter Balint made waves by winning the Vienna City Championship and securing his third IM norm, a significant step toward earning the prestigious International Master title.
These achievements reflect the hard work and determination of our students, and we are immensely proud of their success. At KCFA, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of young chess talents, and these victories further affirm the impact of our programs.
